The Quinta's history
In 1978 the artist Adolfo acquired the old 87.000 sqm Quinta, in the Monte dos Caliços area near Moncarapacho. Maintaining the traditional architecture, the Quinta was transformed into a manor house, servicing as a home and studio for the artist.
In 1985 the Quinta was transformed into a guesthouse, setting the grounds for the final transformation into hotel and resort . In 1993 the new guest houses Eremitage and Vila d’Este were added as well as Patinho, which now services as a bar, lounge and reception
With the inauguration of Orangerie in 1999 the Quinta reached its present size. The well-maintained park with a remarkable stock of trees creates a unique atmosphere.

Gallery
Since the early days art and culture have been an integral part of Adolfo da Quinta. The foundation of the Quinta Gallery was a further step to preserve the heritage of the deceased Westphalian artist Adolfo. Nowadays the Gallery organises exhibitions of local artists.

Rooms and Suites
The guesthouses are spread around the large park among ponds, terraces and a pavillion. Three pools, one of which is heated, are an inviting and refreshing oasis. The guesthouses which have their own sun terraces offer 55 rooms with a capacity of 107 beds. All rooms are air-conditioned and have a mini bar.

Quinta
The six rooms of the Quinta are located within a romantic garden, surrounded by ancient trees. The pool is surrounded by terraces and a lawn, where you can enjoy the sun or cool off in the shade.

Eremitage
The entry to the Eremitage opens to a bright courtyard, surrounded by a colonnade and leading to the 20 pleasant rooms within. The "Mirador" - with the beautiful Swallow Tower is a popular place to enjoy the view or relax in the sun.

Vila d'Este
The private character of this charming villa which evokes a Southern American ranch offers five individually furnished rooms, each with individual terrace, making it the ideal accommodation for large families or a group of friends. The separate pool provides a family atmosphere to this little oasis.

Orangerie
This property built in the style of a monastery offers of 24 bright suites with modern interior. The suites on the ground floor have their own seating covered by arcades and a terrace offering views to the sea or countryside. The junior suites in the upper floor offer sufficient space to relax on the private roof terrace. All suites are comprised of a bedroom, living room (with sofa-bed), and bathroom and are equipped with air conditioning, mini bar, TV and Internet access.

The Restaurants and bars in Adolfo da Quinta
Freshness and quality are the number one priority at Adolfo da Quinta. Local products are the preferred choice by the chef, who visits the market halls of Olhão and Faro every morning.

The management and chef are honoured to have been nominated as members of the “Confrérerie de la Chaine des Rôtisseurs”.

Pool Bar
All day long a popular meeting point in the heart of the park . Early birds, attracted by the heated pool, can get their early morning tea. During the summer BBQ lunch and dinner are served, to the sound of live music.

Bar “O Patinho”
The spectacular hall with a marvellous huge open fire place calls for staying and chatting in a relaxing atmosphere. The well stocked bar provides long drinks and cocktails to the guests as well as a glass of Champagne or draught beer. Every Friday evening we celebrate our Live Piano Music Night, offering a bottle of French Champagne for only €49.

Restaurant “Orangerie”
The Mediterranean restaurant with its high open pyramid ceiling is clearly the pride of the hotel. The terrace offers spectacular views to the sea and the countryside. Experience the haute cuisine, served by our friendly team, under the Italian-designed romantic chandeliers!

Guests enjoy a gym with state-of-the-art equipment, a sauna and several whirlpools. The beauty salon offers a wide variety of treatments. Our physiotherapists are available for massages, trigger point and reflex zone therapies as well as full body treatments.

Golf Academy
Our "Golf Academy“, which has multilingual staff, bases its teaching methods are on years of professional experience.Designed by the well known English golf course architect Howard Swan, the academy offers optimum conditions for practise and that all-important “short game”.

Our academy course is set in a slightly rolling parkland with old trees and stone walls, manicured greens and nine different tees.

The sloping driving range is ideal for training purposes.

The generously proportioned chipping green has everything for short game: from the bunker, over the water, uphill and downhill and through an opening through the trees.

Two putting greens are available, one of which is adjacent to the lounge.

The Academy professionals are pleased to teach golf to beginners as well as handicap players.

Registered guests have free use of the golf facilities and enjoy special green fees in the Algarve: four 18 holes golf courses are within the vicinity of Adolfo da Quinta:
